Reset and Recovery
If you change your Wi-Fi network, lose access to PaxTime, or need to start fresh, use these reset options to recover your device.
Reset Options
PaxTime has two reset methods, activated by pressing the button on the device:
Wi-Fi Reset (4 Button Presses)
Enters AP mode so you can reconfigure Wi-Fi. Keeps all your settingsincluding schedule, calibration, and authenticator.
Use when:
- You changed your Wi-Fi password
- You moved PaxTime to a new network
- You can't find the device on your network
Factory Reset (6+ Button Presses)
Completely resets the device to factory defaults. Erases all settingsincluding schedule, calibration, and authenticator.
Use when:
- You want to start completely fresh
- You're giving the device to someone else
- Wi-Fi reset didn't solve your problem
How to Reset
- Locate the button
Find the small button on the PaxTime device (usually on the side or front).

- Press the button quickly
- 4 presses for Wi-Fi reset (keeps settings)
- 6 or more presses for factory reset (erases everything)

- Wait for the device to restart
The device will enter setup mode after a moment.
- Connect to the setup network
On your phone, connect to
PaxTime-XXXXXXand open192.168.4.1to configure Wi-Fi.
After Factory Reset
You'll need to complete the full setup process again:Wi-Fi,authenticator,calibration, andschedule.
