PaxTime User Manual

PaxTime is a screen time management smart plug that tracks TV power usage, enforces daily limits, and keeps everything local to your home network.

What You Need

  • A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (5 GHz is not supported)
  • A smartphone or computer connected to the same network
  • A TV or device to plug into PaxTime

Quick Start

  1. Plug in PaxTime
    Insert PaxTime into a wall outlet, then plug your TV into PaxTime.
  2. Connect to the setup network
    On your phone or computer, connect to the Wi-Fi network namedPaxTime-XXXXXX.
  3. Configure Wi-Fi
    Open a browser and go to 192.168.4.1. Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  4. Find your device
    After PaxTime restarts, check your router's connected devices list for "PaxTime" and note the IP address.
  5. Access the control panel
    Open http://<device-ip>/mp in your browser and bookmark it.
  6. Complete setup
    Set up the authenticator, run calibration, and create a weekly schedule.

Local-Only Access

  • PaxTime has no cloud service and no remote URL.
  • You can only access the device from your home network.
  • Bookmark the device IP address — that's the only way to reach the control panel.
  • If you need remote access, use a VPN to connect to your home network.
