Calibration
Calibration teaches PaxTime how much power your TV uses when it's off (standby) versus when it's on. This allows PaxTime to accurately track viewing time.
Before You Start
- Make sure you've completed authenticator setup
- Your TV should be plugged into PaxTime and working normally
- Allow a few minutes for each measurement
Calibration Steps
- Unlock the device
Go to
/mpand unlock using your authenticator code. - Open the calibration page
Navigate to
/mp/calibrate. - Measure standby power
Turn your TV off using the remote (don't unplug it). Wait for PaxTime to measure the standby power.

- Measure active power
Turn your TV on and let it run normally. Keep the TV stable while PaxTime measures active power.

- Confirm calibration
PaxTime will save the measurements. You'll see a confirmation when complete.
Tips for Accurate Calibration
- Keep the TV in a typical viewing state during the "on" measurement
- Don't switch channels or change settings during measurement
- If you have a soundbar or other devices on the same outlet, calibration will include their power too
Re-calibrating
If detection seems wrong (for example, PaxTime thinks the TV is on when it's off), run calibration again. Make sure the TV is completely off during standby measurement and fully on during active measurement.
